IT Asset Transportation Specialist

Job Overview
IT asset transportation tasks include but are not limited to, retrieval/pickup/drop off of desktop computers, laptops, tablets, monitors, and other IT assets as designated by the agency and/or State. For consideration, team requirements will include completed background checks, knowledge and understanding of the tasks being assigned, and availability to be assigned, as needed, to various government agencies.

This role involves the secure and efficient retrieval, transport, and delivery of IT equipment such as desktops, laptops, tablets, monitors, and related assets for various government agencies. The specialist ensures proper handling, documentation, and timely delivery of all IT assets in accordance with company and state policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate IT asset pickups, deliveries, and transportation to various locations.
• Ensure proper packaging, handling, and security of IT equipment during transit.
• Maintain accurate records of asset movements and inventory updates.
• Resolve issues related to damaged or delayed shipments.
• Collaborate with IT teams and vendors to validate and reconcile transported assets.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree in IT or logistics preferred).
• 1–3 years of experience in IT asset handling, inventory, or logistics.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware and asset tracking systems.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to lift and transport computer equipment safely.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various locations as needed.
• Background check required.

Education and Experience:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Information Technology, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
• Experience: 1–3 years of experience in IT asset management, transportation, or logistics. Experience handling computer equipment and maintaining inventory records is an advantage.

Additional Requirements: Successful completion of a Fingerprint background investigation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.21 - $30.36 per hour
