Position Title: Business Analyst (IT)

Reports to: SVP of IT

Job Type: Full Time

Status: Exempt

Location: Onsite, Lawrenceville, GA

Schedule: Monday-Friday: 8am-5pm

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Business Requirements & Solution Design
  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders across all business units (Retail, Operations, Fuel Pricing, Accounting) to gather, document, and manage detailed functional and non-functional requirements for new software, reports, and system enhancements.
  • Process Mapping: Document current "as-is" business processes and model future "to-be" processes to identify efficiency gains and system gaps.
  • Liaison: Act as the primary communicator between business users and developers, translating complex business logic into clear, technical specifications (e.g., use cases, user stories, mock-ups).
  • Fuel Systems Documentation & Analysis (Core Focus)
  • Fuel Procedure Documentation: Be responsible for thoroughly documenting current and future fuel inventory and pricing automation procedures.
  • Software Expertise: Become a subject matter expert in core proprietary software, specifically the Kalibrate fuel pricing system and Gravitate fuel inventory system.
  • Reporting: Assist in the development and validation of new reports related to fuel margin, inventory shrink, and pricing compliance, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Data Analysis & Support
  • Data Validation: Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring all developed solutions and reports meet the defined business requirements and perform as expected.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Perform basic analysis on operational issues (e.g., fuel invoice discrepancies, inventory variances) to identify the root cause and recommend process improvements or system adjustments.
  • Training Support: Assist in developing training materials and conducting training sessions for end-users on new software features or updated processes.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Technical Aptitude: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and Visio (or other process mapping tools).
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with any Business Intelligence (BI) tool (e.g., Power BI) preferred.
  • Experience or exposure to Agile or Waterfall project methodologies preferred.
  • Familiarity with financial or inventory concepts (e.g., GL, P&L, inventory valuation) preferred.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
  • Retail/C-Store Experience: Demonstrated understanding or professional experience within a retail, grocery, or convenience store environment (may include store-level management, category management, or logistics).
  • Multi-Unit/Chain Experience: Experience working with processes or data relevant to a multi-unit or chain business model is highly preferred.
