IT Contract Manager

REQUIRED SKILLS: (Need Majority; 5+ Years)

• Contract Management or Paralegal experience (5+ years), with emphasis on IT and technology service agreements
• Negotiating and managing end-to-end contract lifecycles
• Knowledge of best practices for IT contract negotiation tactics and strategies
• Ability to determine contractual and financial exposure and negotiate favorable terms

Bridging communication between IT and business organizations to structure contracts aligned to business goals

DESCRIPTION OF ROLE:

The organization is seeking a Business Analyst Consultant III to serve in an IT Contracts Manager capacity, augmenting existing contracts staff. This is a non-supervisory role responsible for managing the full IT contract lifecycle, including amendments, changes, modifications, and enforcement of performance clauses such as incentives and remedies.

1. The role serves as the primary subject-matter expert and key contact for contract-related and tender activities involving IT services, hardware, and software across the County. Responsibilities include statutory analysis; negotiating contract terms, conditions, and modifications; coordinating with Procurement and legal stakeholders; and ensuring contracts align with business needs and regulatory requirements.

The IT Contracts Manager oversees contract execution, resolves issues, mitigates delays, assists with audits, mediates disputes, and escalates risks as needed. The role also focuses on securing optimal financial terms, managing vendor performance, and driving continuous improvement in contract management processes.
