IT Design Engineer & Support (Azure, Windows Server, Veeam, Acronis)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Design Engineer & Support professional to design, implement, and maintain robust IT infrastructure solutions. This role combines architecture design with hands-on support for Microsoft Azure environments, Windows Server systems, and enterprise backup solutions using Veeam and Acronis. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, security, and disaster recovery readiness across hybrid and cloud environments.

Responsibilities

· Develop and implement IT infrastructure designs for hybrid and cloud environments using Microsoft Azure and Windows Server.

· Create architecture diagrams and documentation for backup and disaster recovery strategies leveraging Veeam and Acronis.

· Plan and execute migrations of workloads to Azure, ensuring compliance and performance optimization.

· Deploy and configure Azure services (VMs, Storage, Networking, Security, Governance).

· Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy).

· Implement and manage Veeam Backup & Replication and Acronis Cyber Protect solutions for virtual and physical workloads.

· Monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex issues across servers, networks, and backup systems.

· Provide Tier 2/Tier 3 support for escalated technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime.

· Design and maintain backup policies for on-premises and cloud environments.

· Test and validate disaster recovery plans, ensuring rapid restoration of critical systems.

· Implement security best practices for Azure and Windows Server environments.

· Maintain detailed documentation of architectures, configurations, and operational procedures.

· Provide training and guidance to internal teams on Azure, Windows Server, and backup solutions.

Skills

· Microsoft Azure architecture and administration.

· Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) deployment and management.

· Veeam Backup & Replication configuration and troubleshooting.

· Acronis Cyber Protect design and implementation.

· Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls, and routing.

· PowerShell scripting for automation and configuration.

Qualifications

· Minimum 5+ years in IT infrastructure design and support roles.

· Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert / Azure Administrator Associate.

· Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate.

· Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE).

· Acronis Certified Engineer.

· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

· Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
