IT Developer

Overview:

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented IT Developer to join our international e-commerce technology team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in developing and maintaining our independent online sales platform (Magento 2), as well as managing API integration projects between client systems and our internal platforms. This position requires excellent front-end and back-end development skills, along with strong bilingual communication ability to collaborate effectively with teams in both the U.S. and China.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, customize, and maintain our Magento 2 e-commerce platform, including both frontend UI and backend modules.
• Build and manage API integration projects, connecting client data to our systems according to provided API documentation.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and technical teams in both China and the U.S. to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize site performance, ensuring scalability and high availability.
• Implement secure data handling, authentication, and version control practices.
• Participate in system architecture design and provide technical input for future enhancements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in web application development, ideally with Magento 2.
• Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript (React/Vue/Knockout.js), HTML5, CSS3, and RESTful API development.
• Familiarity with API documentation tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger) and version control (Git).
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Bilingual (English and Chinese) — able to read, write, and communicate effectively in both languages.
• Experience working with cross-border teams or in e-commerce environments is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or Alibaba Cloud).
• Understanding of CI/CD workflows and Docker environments.
• Basic knowledge of SEO and website analytics tools.
• Previous experience in B2B or B2C online sales platforms.
