Job Description
- Tier-1/L1 IT Help Desk Engineer to help maintain and troubleshoot infrastructure for a customer in Houston, TX.
- Demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance, and security.
- Hybrid with at least 3-4 days onsite.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1st level support
- Test and maintain OS, application software and smartphones
- Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
- Liaise with team, users, managers, vendors, and other IT personnel for problem resolution
Requirements
- Fluent in English writing/reading and speaking, and ideally Japanese
- Proven working experience in configuring and troubleshooting Microsoft-based environments
- AA/BA/BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, CIS, or a related subject
- Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)
- Experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, Veeam) is a plus
- Familiar with IT documentation and ticketing systems
- Familiar with Japanese corporate culture
Job Type: Full-time
Base Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
