IT Infrastructure & Security Engineer (On-Site - 5 Days/Week)

Overview
Seeking a hands-on IT Infrastructure & Security Engineer to support and maintain enterprise IT systems across networking, systems administration, cloud platforms, and cybersecurity. This role works closely with IT leadership to ensure secure, reliable operations and to support compliance initiatives aligned with NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC.
Key Responsibilities

Provide Tier 1-2 technical support across end-user systems, hardware, software, and networking

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to systems, connectivity, cabling, and user environments; escalate as needed

Support identity and access management, including provisioning, deprovisioning, and role-based access controls

Assist with network operations and secure configuration practices (remote access, segmentation, least privilege)

Maintain infrastructure across on-prem and cloud environments, including updates, patching, and performance monitoring

Support cybersecurity controls and help maintain compliance with NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC standards

Assist with audit readiness by organizing and collecting technical evidence for assessments

Partner with IT leadership on projects, system improvements, documentation, and security hardening initiatives

Maintain accurate documentation, ticketing updates, and compliance records
Qualifications

3+ years of experience across IT support, systems administration, networking, or cloud environments

Hands-on experience supporting mixed infrastructure environments (end-user, network, and systems)

Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently

Familiarity with NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC frameworks (preferred)

Certifications such as CompTIA A+/Network+/Security+ or Microsoft/Azure certifications (preferred)

Strong communication skills and attention to detail
