We are looking for a skilled Laptop Repair Technician with strong knowledge in both hardware troubleshooting and basic software support. The technician will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, installing software, and ensuring systems run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair laptop hardware issues (motherboard, keyboard, display, battery, SSD/HDD, RAM).
- Perform chip-level/basic board-level troubleshooting (if required).
- Install, update, and troubleshoot operating systems (Windows/macOS).
- Perform software installation and configuration (MS Office, antivirus, drivers, utilities).
- Backup and restore data safely.
- Troubleshoot performance issues, slow systems, OS errors, and software conflicts.
- Replace faulty components and upgrade hardware (SSD, RAM, batteries).
- Maintain service records and update repair status in the system.
- Provide basic customer support and explain issues to customers clearly.
- Ensure all repairs meet quality and safety standards.
Required Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of laptop hardware and components.
- Ability to diagnose motherboard, power issues, display issues, and heating problems.
- Good understanding of Windows OS installation, formatting, drivers, and BIOS settings.
- Basic software troubleshooting and knowledge of common applications.
- Knowledge of antivirus installation and malware removal.
- Ability to work with diagnostic tools and multimeters (added advantage).
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications:
- Diploma/ITI in Electronics, Computer Hardware, or related field.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in laptop/desktop repairing.
- Additional certifications in hardware/software are an advantage.
Preferred Qualities:
- Fast learner with a positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality repairs.
