Summary

As the IT Manager, North America, you will lead and execute the organization's technology strategy across the United States and Canada, acting as a key partner to both field operations and the support office. This role supports both retail and support office operations, with responsibility across core IT functions including infrastructure, cybersecurity, retail systems, business applications, vendor management, and technology operations. You will work closely with business leaders, store teams, and external partners to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable technology solutions that support company growth and operational excellence.

Role and Responsibilities

Technology Infrastructure and Operations

  • Lead the management of IT infrastructure across North America, including networks, servers, cloud environments, and end-user computing.
  • Oversee IT service desk operations and ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
  • Manage hardware lifecycle programs, including desktops, laptops, POS terminals, printers, mobile devices, and telecommunications systems.
  • Ensure reliable connectivity and technology performance across stores, distribution centers, and support offices.

Retail Systems and Business Applications

  • Oversee Point of Sale (POS) systems, inventory management platforms, and retail technology solutions.
  • Ensure effective integration and performance of e-commerce platforms and omnichannel systems.
  • Support ERP, HRIS, payroll, workforce management, and business reporting platforms.
  • Partner with business teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and system optimization.

Cybersecurity and Compliance

  • Develop and maintain cybersecurity policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Lead security monitoring, incident response, and risk mitigation efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable data privacy and security regulations, including PCI-DSS, CCPA, and other relevant standards.
  • Manage data protection initiatives and business continuity planning.

Vendor and Technology Partner Management

  • Manage relationships with technology vendors, telecommunications providers, software providers, and managed service partners.
  • Lead contract negotiations, renewals, and service level agreement (SLA) management.
  • Monitor vendor performance, service quality, and cost effectiveness.
  • Identify opportunities for technology consolidation and cost optimization.

Innovation and Digital Transformation

  • Drive technology initiatives that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
  • Support omnichannel strategies that create seamless integration between online and in-store operations.
  • Evaluate and implement emerging technologies, automation solutions, and AI-driven business tools where appropriate.
  • Lead technology projects that support future business growth and innovation.

Operational Continuity and Risk Management

  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Ensure appropriate backup, recovery, and system resilience strategies are in place.
  • Lead response efforts during technology outages and critical incidents.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively address operational risks.

IT Leadership and Collaboration

  • Lead, develop, and mentor the North America IT team.
  • Manage IT budgets, forecasts, and capital expenditures.
  • Support organizational growth initiatives, including new store openings, relocations, and expansions.
  • Provide regular updates to executive leadership regarding technology performance, risks, projects, and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 7-10 years of progressive IT leadership experience, preferably within retail, multi-location, or consumer-facing environments.
  • Strong background in infrastructure management, cybersecurity, retail systems, and business applications.
  • Experience managing third-party vendors, service providers, and technology contracts.
  • Demonstrated success leading technology projects and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities with the capability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Additional Information

  • Travel as needed across the United States and Canada.
  • Flexibility to support business needs outside of standard business hours when required.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
