Job Title: Senior Manager of Information Technology (IT)

Position Overview:
The Director of Information Technology (IT) is responsible for overseeing all technology functions within the casino and related enterprise operations, ensuring systems are secure, compliant, and aligned with the strategic goals of the Tribal Gaming Authority and the Tribal Government. This position leads the planning, implementation, and management of all IT systems, infrastructure, and cybersecurity programs supporting gaming, hospitality, and administrative operations.

The Director of IT provides hands-on leadership to a small team while working collaboratively with tribal leadership, regulatory bodies, and external vendors to ensure that technology systems operate reliably, efficiently, and in full compliance with tribal, state, and federal gaming regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:

Develop and execute the casino’s IT strategy to support operational excellence, guest service, and regulatory compliance across gaming, hospitality, and enterprise systems.

  • Systems Oversight:

Manage all technology systems including casino management systems (CMS), slot accounting, player tracking, surveillance networks, POS, hotel PMS, and administrative platforms.
Ensure interoperability and performance across systems supporting gaming floor, hotel, F&B, and back-office operations.

  • Security & Compliance:

Maintain robust cybersecurity practices and data protection measures that comply with Tribal Gaming Commission requirements, NIGC (National Indian Gaming Commission) regulations, and applicable standards such as GLI, PCI, and NIST.
Ensure system access controls, logging, and audit trails are maintained in accordance with Tribal Internal Control Standards (TICS) and Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS).

  • Regulatory & Tribal Coordination:

Serve as the primary IT liaison with the Tribal Gaming Commission, Tribal Government, and third-party auditors.
Ensure timely reporting and compliance with all regulatory and licensing requirements related to technology systems and vendors.

  • Infrastructure & Operations:

Oversee the performance and maintenance of all network, server, and telecommunications systems, ensuring 24/7 reliability of critical casino operations.
Lead technology upgrades, hardware lifecycle planning, and business continuity/disaster recovery initiatives.

  • Vendor & Contract Management:

Manage relationships with technology vendors, integrators, and service providers.
Negotiate and oversee technology contracts and support agreements, ensuring accountability and performance.

  • Support & Service Delivery:

Direct IT support operations to provide responsive and effective service to internal users.
Ensure timely resolution of system issues and proactive prevention of downtime.

  • Budgeting & Procurement:

Prepare and manage IT department budgets, technology purchasing, and capital improvement projects.
Evaluate cost-effective and sustainable technology solutions.

  • Team Leadership:

Recruit, train, and develop IT staff. Promote a culture of integrity, accountability, and professional growth consistent with Tribal values and organizational objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 7+ years of progressive IT experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership capacity within the gaming or hospitality industry.
  • Direct experience in tribal gaming operations strongly preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of casino management systems (CMS), POS, hospitality software, and gaming network infrastructures.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, compliance requirements (GLI, PCI, MICS, TICS), and data governance.
  • Proven project management experience in system implementation and upgrades.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must meet eligibility requirements for a Tribal Gaming License.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
