IT Manager (Male)

Position Title: IT Manager

Job Summary

The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the school's entire IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, CCTV systems, computer labs, internet connectivity, data security, and technical support services. The role ensures smooth operation of all technology resources and provides technical guidance to staff and management.

Key Responsibilities

IT Infrastructure Management

• Manage and maintain school servers, networks, and IT systems.
• Monitor system performance and ensure maximum uptime.
• Install, configure, and upgrade hardware and software as required.
• Manage internet connectivity, Wi-Fi networks, and network security.

Server Administration

• Maintain and monitor physical and cloud-based servers.
• Perform regular data backups and disaster recovery planning.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
• Ensure server security and protection against cyber threats.

CCTV and Security Systems

• Manage and maintain CCTV cameras, DVR/NVR systems, and surveillance networks.
• Monitor CCTV system functionality and ensure recording integrity.
• Troubleshoot and resolve CCTV-related issues.
• Coordinate installation and upgrades of security systems when required.

Technical Support

• Provide technical support to teachers, administrative staff, and management.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, printer, and network issues.
• Maintain an efficient IT helpdesk and resolve user complaints promptly.

Data Security and Compliance

• Implement and enforce IT security policies.
• Ensure protection of confidential school data and records.
• Conduct regular system audits and security assessments.

Vendor and Asset Management

• Coordinate with external vendors for IT equipment procurement and maintenance.
• Maintain inventory records of IT assets and equipment.
• Evaluate and recommend technology solutions to improve operational efficiency.

Training and Development

• Train staff on the effective use of IT systems and software.
• Promote best practices regarding cybersecurity and data protection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications (CCNA, MCSA, MCSE, CompTIA Network+, etc.) will be preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in IT infrastructure and network management.

Skills Required

• Strong knowledge of server administration and network management.
• Experience with CCTV systems, access control systems, and surveillance technologies.
• Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, networking, and cybersecurity.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and team management abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
