IT Officer

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated IT Officer (Fresh Graduate) to join our IT team. The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of networking concepts and hands-on exposure to IT infrastructure, security, and system support.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in firewall configuration and basic network security
• Support and maintain client-server architecture
• Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of servers and client systems
• Manage and support wireless networking (Wi-Fi setup and configuration)
• Perform system installation, upgrades, and maintenance
• Monitor network performance and resolve basic connectivity issues
• Provide IT support to users for hardware and software-related issues
• Assist in documentation of IT procedures and configurations

Required Skills & Knowledge

• Fresh graduate in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
• Basic knowledge of firewalls/ MikroTec and network security concepts
• Hands-on understanding of client-server models
• Experience (academic or internship) with server and client installation
• Knowledge of wireless networking (routers, access points)
• Basic understanding of Windows/Linux operating systems
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Willingness to learn and work in a team environment

Preferred (Plus Points)

• Internship or lab-based experience in networking or system administration
• Familiarity with TCP/IP, LAN, WAN
• Basic understanding of backup, antivirus, and security best practices
