The IT Operations Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst II will provide production support in a complex application and data warehouse environment; analyze, troubleshoot and resolve failures; provide clarity with in-depth data research; and implement fixes. The Analyst II will collaborate with teams across IT to resolve complex issues and provide optimal solutions, with an emphasis on process improvement. Work to continuously enhance the stability and long-term performance of BI systems. Develop and update documentation, technical procedures, and knowledge articles. Increase proficiency and scope of involvement on all activities through guided and self-initiated learning. Participation in on-call rotation is required.
Required:
Experience with Informatica or similar ETL tools
Experience with ActiveBatch or comparable enterprise scheduling tools
Hands-on experience supporting ETL data movement in a production environment, including analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving failures
Ability to use workflow monitoring tools to identify failure points and trace issues back through workflow components
Experience interpreting workflow and session logs to determine root cause
Strong ability to write and interpret SQL across databases such as Oracle, Netezza, and DB2
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve processes
Experience supporting routine and ad-hoc changes, including deployments
Proactive in process improvement, documentation, and knowledge sharing
Experience managing a ticket queue, including prioritization and escalation
Understanding of SDLC processes
Ability to navigate Linux/Unix environments, including directories, file permissions, and environment variables
Ability to read shell scripts and use tools such as the VI editor
Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation (one week every six weeks), including after-hours and weekend support, and resolving critical workflow failures
Preferred:
Development experience in an operations or support role is a plus
