IT Operations Systems Technician - Brewster

About the Position

The IT Systems Administrator will support computer systems throughout the organization. The candidate will diagnose the root cause of issues and perform steps necessary to troubleshoot and resolve them in an efficient manner. This position will focus on supporting the organization’s back-office personnel and fleet of 500+ mobile users with their technological needs.

Work Hours and Location:
Candidates must have weekend availability throughout the year as a part of their regular schedule, as occasional weekend shifts are an essential aspect of this position. Flexibility to work additional hours, including holidays, may also be required based on the needs of the business.
The reporting location for this position is Brewster, NY.

Responsibilities

  • Assist end users with a wide range of questions, problems and requests with their computer and mobile needs
  • Address basic user configuration for PC equipment & accessories, mobile devices, and printers
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with computer systems, including hardware and software, email, network, smartphone, tablets, and other peripheral equipment
  • Monitor and track incidents in support of the problem management process, recognize high priority tickets and act within the expected response time, document all troubleshooting procedures and processes
  • Successfully understand and help users resolve issues working in our ERP system.
  • Support, and troubleshoot the Mobile Device Management solution presently in place, distribute enterprise applications for devices, and deploy security and device management policies
  • Collaborate with Departments for onboarding and offboarding, deployment of end user equipment, and effectively communicate with all levels of internal management
  • Assist with the procurement and disposal of computers, devices, printers, and other peripheral equipment, while maintaining an accurate hardware and software inventory
  • Assist the Director of IT and team members with maintenance and upkeep of entire network
  • Create and implement new procedures and forms as needed to assist in improving IT operations.

What we are looking for in the ideal candidate:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years hands on experience administering:
  • Windows OS & Applications
  • Office 365, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint
  • Azure, Active Directory, and Exchange
  • iOS, and Android Platforms
  • Mobile Device Management (MDM)
  • Printers / Copiers
  • VOIP Telephone Systems
  • Hardware Setup / Provisioning
  • ERP or Warehouse Management Systems are a plus.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail and a methodical work style
  • Great verbal communication skills including the ability to explain technical concepts
  • Strong organizational skills, highly structured, and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to document accurately and thoroughly
  • Great interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Associate Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
  • Can lift at least 40 lbs.
  • Operational improvement experience and focus
  • Understanding of inventory controls
  • Wi-Fi platforms and access point deployments
  • Warehousing and Logistics experience is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of accounting and finance is a plus.
  • Knowledge of beverage distribution or food distribution is a plus.
