Job Title: IT Procurement Consultant / IT Procurement Manager

Location: Remote
Employment Type: Contract / Consulting

Job Summary

The IT Procurement Consultant will play a critical role in leading the procurement of IT solutions and services . This role is responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies aligned with business objectives and the IT roadmap, ensuring regulatory compliance, and building strong vendor and stakeholder relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Strategy & Planning

· Develop and implement IT procurement strategies aligned with business goals and the IT roadmap

· Conduct market research to identify qualified vendors, technologies, and cost-effective solutions

· Partner with IT stakeholders to define procurement needs and create sourcing plans

Vendor Management

· Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic vendors and service providers

· Lead contract negotiations to ensure optimal commercial terms and regulatory compliance

· Monitor vendor performance and ensure adherence to contractual obligations and SLAs

Contract Management

· Negotiate and manage contracts for IT hardware, software, SaaS, and professional services

· Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as GDPR and HIPAA

· Collaborate with Legal and Compliance teams to ensure contracts meet company policies

· Perform risk analysis on contract terms and conditions

Procurement Operations

· Manage end-to-end procurement activities including RFI, RFP, RFQ, and contract awards

· Maintain procurement documentation, contracts, and sourcing plans

· Partner with Finance and Accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely payment processing

· Track, document, and report cost savings

· Collect, digitize, and securely store all contract documentation

Stakeholder Management

· Collaborate with IT leadership, project managers, and end users

· Act as a trusted advisor, providing procurement guidance and best practices

· Communicate procurement plans, timelines, and status updates to stakeholders

Skills & Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field

· 5–8 years of experience in IT procurement with strong vendor management and contract negotiation expertise

· Solid understanding of procurement laws and regulations, including GDPR

· Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities

· Experience using procurement platforms such as Ariba, Coupa, or similar tools

Preferred Qualifications

· Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field

· Professional certification such as CPM or CPSM

· Familiarity with ITIL or IT service management frameworks

· Experience with cloud-based procurement platforms and tools

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Work Location: Remote
