IT Project Manager

Job Description

The IT Project Manager is responsible for leading the implementation of an IT services operation and technical support project, ensuring that all project deliverables are completed within the agreed scope, timeline, and quality requirements in coordination with the project owner.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed plans for project initiation and execution in line with the agreed scope of work, and update them as needed throughout the project lifecycle.
• Define project scope, schedule key deliverables, and allocate the required human and technical resources.
• Coordinate with the IT General Directorate, the project owner, and vendors to ensure smooth progress and proper execution of tasks.
• Manage the project team, assign responsibilities, and ensure adherence to timelines and technical standards.
• Monitor project performance and prepare periodic progress reports, including tracking risks and proposing mitigation actions.
• Oversee the execution of project activities, including setup, operations, integration, and documentation, ensuring compliance with approved security standards and IT policies.
• Supervise handover processes and pilot operations, and ensure service readiness prior to full transition to operational support.
• Manage interactions with external stakeholders (service providers, partners, and regulatory bodies) and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing similar IT projects within service operation and support environments.
• Professional project management certification (PMP or equivalent) is a strong advantage.
• Proven hands-on experience in project planning, risk management, and stakeholder communication at various levels.
• Strong reporting, performance monitoring, and follow-up skills.
