IT Project Manager

Position Summary

The IT Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering technology projects that support TWFG’s business objectives. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while maintaining high quality and alignment with organizational priorities.

Essential Responsibilities

Project Planning & Delivery – 40%

  • Lead end-to-end IT projects including infrastructure, application development, system integrations, and vendor-managed initiatives
  • Define project scope, objectives, success criteria, timelines, and deliverables
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and work breakdown structures

Stakeholder & Communication Management – 20%

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors
  • Facilitate project meetings, status updates, and executive-level communications
  • Manage expectations and ensure alignment across cross-functional teams

Budget, Risk & Resource Management – 15%

  • Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and resource allocations
  • Identify project risks and dependencies; develop mitigation and contingency plans
  • Track project performance and escalate issues as needed

Process, Governance & Documentation – 15%

  • Ensure projects follow TWFG IT governance, security, and compliance standards
  • Maintain project documentation including charters, requirements, timelines, and post-implementation reviews
  • Support continuous improvement of project management methodologies and tools

Vendor & Change Management – 10%

  • Coordinate with third-party vendors and consultants to ensure contractual deliverables are met
  • Support change management activities including user communication, training coordination, and adoption planning

  • Business Unit Leaders & Functional Stakeholders
  • IT Infrastructure, Applications, Security, and Data Teams
  • External Software Vendors and Implementation Partners
  • Finance and Procurement Teams

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Percentage of projects delivered on time and within budget
  • Stakeholder satisfaction scores
  • Project risk and issue resolution cycle time
  • Accuracy and completeness of project documentation
  • Adoption and success of delivered solutions

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field (Computer Science, Engineering). 
  • 10+ years of total progressive experience which includes
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience managing complex technology programs working with engineering team 
  • Prior hands‑on software engineering experience or strong technical foundation from earlier career stages
  • Established track record in managing large customer-facing, cross-functional program initiatives, drive collaboration with diverse teams to enable the development of high-quality solutions 
  • Proven ability to lead the development of technical roadmaps with a deep focus on execution, follow-through, accountability, and results. 
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior executives and cross-functional teams. 
  • Experience working in the financial services industry, particularly Insurance.· Experience leading engineering teams in product driven companies. 
  • Experience managing the delivery of SDKs, CX Frameworks and SaaS products.
  • Familiarity with Power BI or similar analytics and data visualization tools; experience building dashboards and executive reporting.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to improve efficiency and insight generation.
  • Experience writing SQL queries and troubleshooting issues.
  • Experience managing programs on public cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS and GCP. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in insurance, financial services, or regulated industries
  • Agile and/or hybrid project delivery experience
  • Familiarity with enterprise systems, cloud platforms, and system integrations

Certifications / Licenses

  • PMP, CAPM, or equivalent project management certification preferred
  • Agile certifications (CSM, SAFe, or similar) a plus

Pay: $95,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
