IT Projects Engineer

Overview
The IT Projects Engineer is responsible for the creation, support, validation, and technical oversight of admin-assigned customer technology. The engineer accomplishes this by having well-versed knowledge of the systems and architecture of both our customers and today's current enterprise technology initiatives. The engineer is responsible for providing technical assistance and insight for assigned projects that require technical oversight, provide our internal staff with the knowledge and procedures required to validate technical milestones, and oversees any change management related to technical project operations.

Duties

• Act as subject matter expert for specific customer technology, provide value-added insight and consultation regarding IT project rollout and technical direction.
• Work directly with the Project Management Team to ensure technical scoping and vetting is accomplished for each scope of work.
• Work with customers and internal teams to create or edit Scope of Work and installation documentation as needed to support operational efforts.
• Onboard technicians as needed for project rollouts.
• Travel on an as needed basis to assist with scope of work creation and/or validation
• Offer competent, viable technical solutions and hardware recommendations based on client wants and needs as needed.
• Assist with forecasting hours and labor associated with projects and technical rollouts.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing IT projects within a fast-paced environment
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, systems integration, and network architecture (A+, Net+, Sec+, or equivalent knowledge level required)
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives effectively
• Exceptional communication skills for liaising with internal teams and onsite technicians
• Be able to qualify technicians prior to dispatch based on a particular Statement of Work
• Be able to setup necessary means by which to test new software and hardware as needed
• Maintain full work functionality both in office and remote

Pay: $53,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
