The IT Security Analyst plays a critical role in protecting computer networks and systems while driving the coordination and execution of corporate security strategies across all divisions and locations. This position manages endpoint, network, and cloud security within a diverse and dynamic environment, providing expert analysis and insight into the design, development, and implementation of robust security programs and protocols. The analyst also contributes to strategic planning by enhancing current technologies and recommending innovative solutions to safeguard the corporation's technology and data assets. This role reports directly to the Director of Infrastructure and Operations.
Minimum Qualifications:

Must exhibit a bachelor's degree in Information Security, Cyber Security, Computer Science or the equivalent from an accredited four-year college or university. Proof of degree required. A transcript or diploma would be acceptable and must be provided. OR Must exhibit three or more years of Information Security related experience, in areas such as: Security Operations, Incident Analysis, Vulnerability Management, and System Patching at a corporate IT level.

Must exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Must exhibit a familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), ISO/IEC 27001, CIS Controls, MITRE ATT&CK, etc.).

Must have basic experience with Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) concepts, function, and troubleshooting.

Must display good oral and written communication skills with all levels of the Company (i.e., good command of grammar and spelling). Must exhibit the ability to communicate in a courteous, polite, and effective manner, both verbally and in written format.

Must exhibit good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with persons of different socio-economic, cultural, and educational backgrounds. Must exhibit the ability to cooperate well with other individuals and establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Preferred Qualifications:

Two years of experience installing, monitoring, and using the network operating systems, hardware, and protocols currently in use at AMERICAN.

Experience with administering and securing cloud environments especially Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure.

Experience with Powershell, Python, and other scripting languages desired.

Possess industry certification, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or equivalent.

Familiarity with security best practices, standards, and compliance initiatives, such as NIST, CIS, COBIT, ISO, SOCI and SOCII reporting, and CIP.

Master's degree with a focus in Cyber Security or the equivalent. Degree must be from an accredited college or university. Proof of degree required. A transcript or diploma would be acceptable and must be provided.
