Job Summary

  • We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Service and Support Professional to provide on-site technical support to clients in the Mid-Atlantic region.
  • This role involves traveling to various locations to install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair hardware, software, and network systems.
  • The ideal candidate has strong technical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a customer-oriented mindset.
  • This position will also perform installation, repair and support for access control and video surveillance equipment.
  • A qualified IT Technician will install and maintain computer systems and networks aiming for the highest functionality. You will also “train” users of the systems to make appropriate and safe usage of the IT infrastructure.
  • A successful IT Technician must have a thorough knowledge of computer software and hardware and a variety of internet applications, networks and operating systems. The ideal candidate will also have great troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail.
  • The selected candidate will support customers using MSP tools and applications such as Connectwise, RMM, EDR/XDR and Cyber Security tools and applications

Duties

  • Travel to different job sites throughout the day and on occasion may also require late or overnight hours.
  • Install and maintain equipment and systems in the field
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues reported by customers
  • Repair equipment and systems as necessary
  • Provide technical support and assistance to customers
  • Communicate effectively with customers, management and other team members
  • Set up hardware and install and configure software and drivers including printers.
  • Troubleshoot network issues which will require working knowledge of routers, switches, cabling including fiber and copper, and repair, re-configuration or replacement of network equipment.
  • Install, terminate and test network fiber and copper cabling.
  • Install and configure a well-functioning LAN/WAN and other networks and manage components (servers, Ips, DNS, DHCP etc.)
  • Manage security options and software in computers and networks to maintain privacy and protection from attacks
  • Perform regular upgrades and updates to ensure systems remain operational and function efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot system failures or bugs and provide solutions to restore functionality
  • Assist management to complete projects and assignments as needed or required for customer satisfaction and resolution.

Experience

  • Proven experience in technical support or IT help desk roles.
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux.
  • Hands-on experience with computer hardware management and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with network concepts including LAN/WAN setup, VPNs, firewalls, and network troubleshooting.
  • Experience working with IT support tools such as Connectwise ticketing systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other common productivity tools.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
  • Prior experience in desktop support or end-user support roles is highly desirable. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about technology who thrive in fast-paced environments and are committed to delivering outstanding IT service support to enhance organizational productivity.

  • Solid knowledge of IT systems and applications
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair issues
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Strong technical background in electronics, mechanics, and/or software

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in various weather and environmental conditions
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights up to 30 feet

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $48.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
