IT Software Engineer I (Onsite), full time, days

We are seeking an integration and data developer with foundational SQL and JAVA experience to support reporting, system integrations, and healthcare data exchange initiatives. This is a hands-on technical role working closely with clinical, financial, and ERP environments. Healthcare experience is highly preferred but not required for candidates with strong technical foundations.
Please note, this is a on-site position that requires in-person work. You must live in the Western Michigan or be able to relocate at your own expense.
Job Type: Full Time, 80 hours every two weeks
Shift Length: 8am-4:30pm (Mon-Fri, some call and after work hours are required)
Weekend Frequency: N/A
Wage Range: $71,614-$107,411 per year
Education Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in computer science or related field
Responsibilities
- Provide expertise in areas of system and database analysis
- Design and maintain SQL queries, reports, and extracts
- Develop and support integration and interface development
- Documentation of technology solutions
- Provide project management when necessary
- Document technical solutions and workflows to support knowledge sharing and maintenance
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Support reporting needs across clinical, financial, and operational departments
- Participate in on-call rotation
Requirements
- System development experience in a healthcare setting
- Excellent technical analysis and problem-solving skills
- Strong SQL skills
- Knowledge of and experience in web-based programming which utilizes current web technology
- Experience with TCP/IP and SFTP communications protocols
Preferred Education and Experience
- 2-4 years’ experience in healthcare preferred.
- Familiarity with EHR systems, clinical workflows and healthcare data exchange processes
- Understanding of VB.NET, SQL, HTML, APIs, JSON, XML and, data transformation techniques
