Brown Technologies is currently seeking an IT Specialist who is a self-starter supporting Corporate.
The IT Specialist – Corporate Support provides hands-on technical support and systems administration for corporate IT environments. This role is responsible for ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient technology operations that support day-to-day business functions, including end-user support, device management, SaaS administration, and basic cybersecurity hygiene. The ideal candidate is service-oriented, detail-driven, and comfortable operating across a broad range of IT responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
End-User & Desktop Support
Provide Tier 1–2 technical support for corporate users (Windows/macOS devices, mobile devices, peripherals).
Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues.
Support onboarding and offboarding of employees, including account provisioning and equipment setup.
Maintain asset inventory and lifecycle management of IT equipment.
Systems & SaaS Administration
Administer corporate productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across corporate systems.
Support collaboration tools, email systems, and document management platforms.
Assist with license management and vendor coordination.
Network & Infrastructure Support
Provide basic support for corporate networks (Wi-Fi, VPN, printers, firewalls).
Coordinate with managed service providers (MSPs) or external vendors as needed.
Assist with troubleshooting connectivity and performance issues.
Cybersecurity & Compliance Support
Support implementation of corporate cybersecurity best practices (MFA, endpoint protection, patching).
Assist with security awareness efforts and policy enforcement.
Support compliance activities (e.g., audits, documentation, access reviews) as directed.
Monitor and report potential security incidents to leadership or security teams.
Documentation & Process Improvement
Maintain IT documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles.
Recommend improvements to IT processes, tools, and workflows.
Track and report IT issues, trends, and resolutions.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience.
2–5 years of experience in corporate IT support or systems administration.
Strong working knowledge of Windows and macOS environments.
Experience supporting Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
Familiarity with basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN).
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Experience in a small business or hybrid corporate environment.
Familiarity with endpoint management tools (Intune, JAMF, or similar).
Basic understanding of cybersecurity frameworks or best practices.
Experience working with MSPs or external IT vendors.
IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft certifications) a plus.
