Responsibilities
Technical Support:

Provide technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.

Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues in a timely manner.

Assist with the setup and configuration of new hardware and software.
System Maintenance:

Monitor and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and other critical systems.

Perform regular system updates, backups, and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance.

Manage and oversee antivirus and malware protection solutions.
Network Management:
-
Ensure the stability and security of network connections.
-
Configure and manage network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.

Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
Security:
-
Implement and maintain IT security policies and procedures.
-
Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments.
-
Respond to security incidents and implement corrective actions.
-
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards (e.g., GxP, FDA).
Vendor Management:
-
Evaluate and manage relationships with external vendors.
-
Review and assess quotations and proposals from vendors.
-
Coordinate with vendors for the procurement and maintenance of IT equipment and services.
Documentation:

Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures.

Create user guides and provide training to staff on IT systems and best practices.

Ensure documentation is compliant with regulatory requirements.
Project Management:

Assist with the planning and implementation of IT projects.

Coordinate with various departments to understand their IT needs and provide appropriate solutions.

Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, adhering to regulatory guidelines.
Skills, Education & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Proven experience as an IT Specialist or in a similar role, preferably in a regulated environment.

Experience with various operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) and platforms.

Familiarity with network protocols and services (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP).

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices.
-
Proficiency in hardware and software troubleshooting.

Understanding of industry regulations and standards (e.g., GxP, FDA, HIPAA).
Certifications (Preferred):

CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+

Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals
-
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
