IT Specialist

Position Summary

Veterinary Pharmaceutical Solutions (VPS) is seeking an IT Specialist to serve as the primary on-site technology resource for our veterinary compounding pharmacy facility in St. Peter, MN. This role owns day-to-day IT operations, delivers hands-on end user support, and contributes to strategic process improvement and system implementation initiatives. In addition to supporting VPS directly, this individual will participate in a global helpdesk function providing secondary remote support to a sister company, Diamond Animal Health.

This is a high-ownership, high-visibility role suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, takes initiative without being asked, and can operate as a capable generalist across both operational and project-oriented work. We’re looking for someone who listens carefully, asks good questions, and solves problems at the root rather than patching symptoms. If you’re driven by curiosity and take ownership instinctively, you’ll fit here.

What This Role Offers

Unlike typical IT support roles, this position offers direct ownership of an entire facility’s technology environment with meaningful exposure to cross-functional improvement initiatives. You will be the person who keeps VPS running and collaborates directly with leadership to shape how technology evolves here. Success requires strong technical fundamentals, sound judgment, and the ability to translate operational problems into practical solutions. The role is designed with a technical growth path in mind for the right candidate.
