IT Specialist

Position Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT Executive / IT Support Specialist to support the day-to-day IT operations of our pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining computer systems, network infrastructure, user support, software applications, and IT documentation while ensuring compliance with company procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.

The candidate should have hands-on experience in troubleshooting hardware, software, network issues, and supporting office as well as manufacturing-related IT systems in a GMP-regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, mobile devices, and other IT equipment.
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, operating systems, and user accounts.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity, system access, email, VPN, and software-related issues.
  • Support IT infrastructure including LAN/Wi-Fi networks, servers, backup systems, and antivirus management.
  • Coordinate with external IT vendors and service providers for system maintenance and issue resolution.
  • Maintain IT inventory, asset tracking, and software license records.
  • Assist in implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity practices and data protection measures.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding activities including system access setup and deactivation.
  • Maintain IT-related SOPs, logs, records, and documentation in compliance with company procedures.
  • Assist users with Microsoft Office 365, shared drives, printers, and business applications.
  • Ensure timely closure of helpdesk tickets and user requests.
  • Support conference room systems, video meetings, and communication tools.
  • Participate in system upgrades, validation support activities, and disaster recovery processes as needed.
  • Follow company safety, data integrity, and confidentiality requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
  • 2–3 years of IT support experience, preferably in pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or regulated industry environments.
  • Knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, networking basics, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with IT security practices, backups, antivirus systems, and user access management.
  • Experience with printers, network devices, and basic server support preferred.
  • Understanding of GMP environment and data integrity requirements is an added advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and provide timely user support.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with ERP systems, laboratory systems, or manufacturing software support.
  • Basic knowledge of cybersecurity and cloud-based systems.
  • Ability to prepare and maintain IT documentation and SOPs.
  • Good coordination and vendor management skills.

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
