United Piping, Inc. is seeking a hands-on IT Specialist to support day-to-day technology operations across the organization. This role is primarily responsible for help desk support, device setup, and ensuring technology assets are ready for employee use, enabling efficient and reliable operations.
Essential Function:

Provide first-line technical support to employees for hardware, software, and network-related issues

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and applications

Respond to help desk tickets and service requests in a timely and professional manner

Deliver excellent customer service to end users with varying levels of technical expertise

Configure and deploy new employee equipment (laptops, desktops, mobile devices)

Prepare and image devices, install required software, and ensure systems meet company standards

Maintain inventory of IT assets and track equipment lifecycle
-
Assist with onboarding and offboarding technology needs
-
Perform routine system updates, patches, and preventative maintenance
-
Assist in maintaining network connectivity, user accounts, and system access
-
Support basic Office 365 or similar business applications
-
Document troubleshooting steps, solutions, and standard procedures
-
Maintain IT knowledge base and asset records
-
Support continuous improvement of IT processes and service delivery
Minimum Qualifications and Required Skill:
-
Associate’s degree in Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience)

2+ years of experience in IT support, help desk, or similar role
-
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
-
Experience with Windows operating systems and standard business applications
-
Excellent communication and customer service skills

Experience with Microsoft 365
- Experience working in the construction industry
- Familiarity with basic networking concepts (Wi-Fi, VPN, LAN)

Experience with ticketing systems and asset management tools

Mobile Device Management experience

Benefits and Compensation:
This role will be (eligible for hybrid work flexibility) based out of our Duluth office. The pay range is $55,000.00 to $68,000.00, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for annual bonus and profit sharing based on company performance in addition to other benefits that support the total well-being of you and your family.
