An IT Specialist in Qatar typically handles technology systems in companies, ensuring that hardware, software, networks, and users are supported so business operations run smoothly.

Common responsibilities include:

Provide first-line support for hardware issues (PCs, printers, peripherals).

Troubleshoot software problems and escalate when needed.

Assist users with login, configuration, and IT service requests.

Install, configure, maintain, and update computer systems, servers, and network devices.

Perform OS updates, antivirus/security updates, and routine backups.

Monitor system performance, availability, and security health.

Document issues, resolutions, and standard operating procedures.

Maintain inventory of IT assets and licensing.Help implement IT policies for access control and data protection.

Work with IT teams to support projects, deployments, and upgrades.Train staff on new technology tools and processesRespond to support tickets/requests in a helpdesk queue.

Typical Qualifications & Skills:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field — often preferred.

Technical Skills: Windows/Linux OS, Active Directory, networking basics (TCP/IP), troubleshooting.

Tools: Helpdesk ticketing systems, antivirus and endpoint tools, basic scripting helpful.

Soft Skills: Communication, problem-solving, documentation skills, team collaboration.
