Information Technology Specialist
Salary Range: $5,417 - $6,771 per month
Employment Status: Full-time, FLSA Exempt, Non-Rep

Overview of Job Duties:
An Information Technology Specialist works in the Administrative Services Department under the general direction of the Finance and Administrative Services Director. Main job functions include:

Completes the functions of a network administrator for the assigned network;
-
Responsible for data backup, recovery, and retention consistent with established policy;
-
Deploys new hardware and software for users;
-
Ensures networks are protected from damage to equipment and data;
-
Maintains asset logs and tracks required updates and replacements;
-
Provides workstation support for hardware and software deployed throughout the City;
-
Assists in planning, review, and selection of new and upgraded technology options in a proactive manner to ensure the City’s capability to meet future needs.
Minimum Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position you must have the following experience and education:

At least three years of experience and a thorough understanding of LAN and WAN technologies, including multiple network operating systems, topologies, and protocols;

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certifications and training in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field;
-
Familiarity with a broad range of hardware and software used in government operations;
-
Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
