Position Summary:

Provide technical assistance, answer questions, or resolve computer problems for users in person, via telephone or from remote locations.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for assisting in the setup, changes, and configuration of network and O365 users, user environments, directories, security groups and documentation associated with these actions.
  • Responsible for executing the backup and archive requests via Veeam.
  • Responsible for installation, troubleshooting/repair, disposal and documentation according to procedures, of all hardware and software that are installed, upgraded or changed at Novum sites.
  • Responsible for maintaining and keeping Information Technology’s asset and other databases current, operational and in conformance with procedures, affectively applying Change Control.
  • Responsible for User Support via Help Desk or IT Request system. May require after hours Support and participation in Help Desk call rotation.
  • Responsible for assisting Novum employees who submit intranet IT requests and New Hire Onboard or Offboard requests, responding appropriately to help desk calls and participating in the support rotation.
  • Questions and issues are primarily related to:
  • Password and account lock outs
  • Microsoft Office products
  • Microsoft Access
  • Acrobat Reader, Standard and Professional
  • Chrome Internet browsers
  • Enterprise secure document transfer ShareFile
  • Network and local printing
  • Canon Image runners and Fax devices
  • MS Teams and Teams Rooms
  • Windows 10 and greater Operating Systems
  • Assist in monitoring and maintaining network stability, record System Downtime.
  • Assist in managing enterprise Anti-Virus including assuring that clients are current on virus definition packages.
  • Assist in Vulnerabilities Mitigation.
  • Assist in managing PBX and or IP/SIP Phones.
  • Monitor critical freezer, refrigerator and room logs for temperature deviations and prepare reports monthly.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or certificate program in technology with nationally recognized/accredited institute, university or college, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least one year related experience in a business environment, preferably Health Care.
  • CompTIA A+ Technician or other Certification a plus.
  • Knowledge of MS Operating Systems, MS Office Suites, Office 365, Internet Browsers/software, Anti-Virus/Vulnerability or Endpoint protection, WAN basics, DHCP, DNS, Routing basics and hardware/software problem identification and resolution.
  • This position may require occasional travel.

Licensing/Certification Requirements

  • No licenses or certifications required for this position. CompTIA A+ Technician or other Certificate a plus.
