IT Support Engineer

Job Summary:
The IT Support Engineer will provide technical support to end-users and assist in maintaining the company’s IT infrastructure. This role involves troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, as well as implementing IT solutions in accordance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

· Provide Level 1 support to end-users for laptops, desktops, printers, scanners, and operating systems.

· Provide Level 2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve complex technical issues.

· Assist in the administration and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including Windows/Linux servers, networks, and security systems.

· Install and configure operating systems (OS) and software as per company SOPs.

· Perform system modifications, patches, and updates as needed.

· Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure proper approvals and success of infrastructure changes.

· Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues, both remotely and on-site.

· Hands-on experience with Linux, Windows, Bash, and PowerShell scripting.

· Collaborate with the company’s security team to implement security tools, policies, and procedures.

· Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.

· Possess knowledge of client/server database applications.

· Maintain documentation and reports on technical issues and solutions.

· Report directly to the Senior IT staff.

Qualifications & Skills:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).

· Proven experience in IT support or related technical roles.

· Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, networking protocols, and office productivity software.

· Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft, ITIL) are a plus.
