Description:

Responsible for securely formatting, wiping, and preparing IT assets for disposal while ensuring compliance with data security policies.

Key Responsibilities:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced hardware troubleshooting expert specializing in laptops and MacBooks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for securely formatting, wiping, and preparing IT assets for disposal while ensuring compliance with data security policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform secure data wiping, formatting, and degaussing of laptops, Surface Pro devices, and MacBooks.

Ensure compliance with data security and follow the organizational asset disposal process.

Document and maintain accurate records of all processed devices, including asset tags and device details S/N etc.

Troubleshoot device related issues during the sanitization process.

Coordinate with IT Asset Management and Desktop Support teams for tracking and handover of disposed assets.

Follow company approved tools and methods (e.g., BitLocker, FileVault, third-party wiping utilities).

Maintain a safe and organized workspace while handling devices.

Provide periodic status updates and reports on disposal activities.

Requirements:

Proven experience in IT support, desktop support, or asset management roles.

Strong knowledge of Windows OS, macOS, and hardware troubleshooting.

Familiarity with secure data erasure standards

Ability to handle multiple tasks with attention to detail and accuracy.

Good documentation and reporting skills.

Strong understanding of IT security principles.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Intune/MDM for device management.

Knowledge of asset lifecycle management tools.

Industry certifications (CompTIA A+, ITIL, or equivalent) are a plus.

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
