Overview
We are seeking a dedicated IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic technology team. This role is essential in providing technical assistance and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure across various platforms. The ideal candidate will possess strong troubleshooting skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and network configurations. Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network issues across multiple operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Troubleshoot software problems related to Microsoft Office, operating systems, and specialized applications using tools like ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy.
- Assist users with desktop support tasks such as configuring devices, installing updates, and resolving connectivity issues.
- Manage and support computer networking components including LANs, firewalls, VPNs, and related security protocols.
- Support the setup and maintenance of hardware components including computers, peripherals, and network equipment.
- Document incidents and resolutions accurately within ticketing systems to ensure efficient tracking and follow-up.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve complex technical issues promptly while maintaining high levels of customer service.
- Assist in implementing security measures such as firewall configurations and VPN access to safeguard organizational data.
- Participate in ongoing training to stay current with emerging technologies and support best practices.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
- Experience with computer networking concepts such as LAN setup, VPN configuration, and firewall management.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting software issues within Microsoft Office Suite and other common applications.
- Familiarity with enterprise support tools like ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy for incident management.
- Ability to provide effective help desk support with excellent communication skills tailored to diverse user groups.
- Knowledge of computer hardware components and basic maintenance procedures.
- Understanding of IT security principles including firewall management and secure remote access solutions.

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
