Job Overview


Coldwell Banker Homes is seeking a dedicated and skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team. This is a full-time position based in our office in Texas City, Texas, United States. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for all IT-related queries, providing essential technical assistance to our team of real estate professionals. This role is crucial for maintaining our company's IT systems and infrastructure, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our technology to support our business objectives. The offered salary for this position is between $56,000 and $125,000 USD per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.


Responsibilities


 

  • Provide first and second-line technical support to all staff, responding to IT issues and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and printers.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, operating systems, and applications.
  • Manage user accounts and permissions across various platforms, including Active Directory and cloud-based services.
  • Log all incidents and service requests in our IT ticketing system, ensuring accurate documentation of issues and resolutions.
  • Assist with the procurement, setup, and deployment of new IT equipment.
  • Support and maintain local network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and wireless access points.
  • Contribute to IT projects, such as system upgrades and technology rollouts.
  • Develop and maintain IT documentation and user guides to support our team.

Qualifications


 

  • Proven experience in an IT support role, such as a Helpdesk Technician or IT Support Specialist.
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and other standard business software.
  • Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and resolving computer hardware issues.
  • A solid understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong customer service focus.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a logical, analytical mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
  • A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is desirable.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft certifications) are considered an asset.
