Under direct supervision, this position provides management information system user support on a continuing basis, either by phone or site visits. The role involves troubleshooting end-user problems and ensuring optimal system performance.

The selected candidate will be responsible for analyzing, optimizing, and improving computer systems that support internal operations and end-user environments. This includes handling hardware and software break-fix issues, assessing and maintaining IT equipment, and ensuring system reliability.

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, capable of working independently, and possess strong analytical and documentation skills. They should also have a solid background in information technology, emerging technologies, and systems administration, with excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

This role also includes administering, maintaining, and supporting the Google Chrome Management Console across multiple locations and environments. The position ensures the seamless operation of Chromebook devices, Chrome browser settings, user profiles, and connected educational or enterprise applications, while providing high-quality technical assistance to staff.

Responsibilities include managing users, groups, and resources, configuring and managing Google Workspace services such as Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Meet, Chat, and Calendar, and providing ongoing user support.

The position is based in Georgia and may require travel between designated office and field locations. A hybrid work schedule may be available following a training period.

Mileage Reimbursement:

  • Mileage may be reimbursed when traveling to designated off-site locations.
  • Routine travel to the assigned worksite is not eligible for reimbursement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and administer the Google Chrome Management Console for all devices and users, including policy and account management.
  • Monitor and track key Google Workspace metrics such as usage, user status, storage, and security compliance.
  • Configure, deploy, and update Chromebooks, extensions, and applications.
  • Enforce device and user policies, including content filters, sign-in restrictions, and security settings.
  • Provide Tier 1–2 technical support for Chrome OS and Google Workspace environments.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
  • Maintain accurate device and peripheral inventory records.
  • Document procedures, user guides, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Analyze support trends to recommend improvements in device management and user experience.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure compatibility and reliability across systems.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience providing IT support or systems administration, preferably in an educational or enterprise environment.
  • Hands-on experience managing Google Workspace, Chrome OS devices, and Google Workspace for Education.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency with Google Admin Console, Chrome Management Console, and Google Workspace tools.
  • Experience supporting Apple products and Mac OS environments.
  • Familiarity with device imaging, policy configuration, and remote management tools.
  • Knowledge of network connectivity, Wi-Fi troubleshooting, and endpoint security best practices.
  • Experience supporting web-based applications and learning management systems (LMS).

  • Familiarity with content filtering tools and device compliance reporting.

Working Conditions:

  • Standard office or hybrid work environment.
  • Travel required within the state of Georgia.
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • May require site visits to secure or restricted facilities under supervision.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $37.27 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
