Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated IT Support Specialist to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to ensure the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure. This role involves managing computer systems, supporting end-users, and maintaining network security across various operating systems. The IT Support Specialist will play a critical role in resolving hardware and software issues, supporting remote access solutions, and maintaining system security protocols.

Duties

• Provide first-line technical support to all staff and departments
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner
• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and software applications
• Install and maintain printers
• Conduct regular system updates and maintenance to ensure optimal performance
• Document technical issues and solutions for future reference
• Collaborate with the IT team to develop and implement IT policies and procedures
• Assist in the setup and maintenance of IT equipment for new employees
• Provide training and guidance to staff on the use of technology and software applications
• Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies
• Travel to outlying areas to install equipment or provide technical support

Skills

• Proven experience in technical support or desktop support roles
• Strong knowledge of computer management and hardware troubleshooting
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications
• Ability to troubleshoot software issues across various platforms and applications
• Knowledge of VPN configurations, firewalls, and network security best practices
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service orientation
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
