Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented IT Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be the frontline hero for technical support, ensuring seamless computer management, network connectivity, and user assistance across diverse environments. Your proactive approach will help maintain optimal IT infrastructure performance and elevate customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive technical support to end-users for hardware, software, operating systems, and network issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software problems related to Microsoft Office, operating systems (Windows and macOS), and specialized applications like BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, and Jira.
- Manage computer hardware, including desktops, laptops, peripherals, and servers; perform upgrades and repairs as needed.
- Configure and maintain computer networking components such as LAN (Local Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), firewalls, and switches to ensure secure connectivity.
- Assist with IT infrastructure tasks including server management, network security protocols, and system backups.
- Document incidents, resolutions, and workflows using help desk tools like Autotask, Datto, IT Glue; escalate complex issues appropriately.
- Communicate clearly with users to provide exceptional customer service while explaining technical solutions in an understandable manner.
Requirements
- Proven experience in IT support roles with a strong understanding of computer management and troubleshooting techniques.
- Proficiency in operating systems including Windows and macOS; familiarity with Linux is a plus.
- Solid knowledge of computer networking concepts such as LAN setup, VPNs, firewalls, and network security best practices.
- Experience supporting desktop support functions across various hardware platforms and peripherals
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively assist users of varying technical backgrounds
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively in fast-paced environments while managing multiple priorities. Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
