Reports To: IT Director
Title: IT Support Specialist
Principal Purpose of Position:
The Desktop Support Technician provides company-Wide technical services in the installation, configuration, repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, and diagnosis of network hardware, computer hardware, peripheral equipment, and software for all company devices
Duties and Responsibilities:
Accept support requests and questions directly from employees, including via ticketing system, emails, and phone calls
Perform first tier of troubleshooting on all support requests
Escalate support requests to proper team once necessary information is gathered
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot technology including but not limited to, Windows PCs, printers, peripherals, network equipment, cabling, wireless access points, etc.
Create and maintain updated documentation for all processes
Be Available for requests during and outside regular business hours
Assist the system administrators with technical tasks as requested (account management, software updates, testing solutions, etc.)
Improve existing processes, workflows, and systems
At all times demonstrate professional, responsible behavior
Perform other duties as assigned by the infrastructure manager
Education and Experience:
Experience in offering technical assistance to end users while maintaining a positive attitude
Experience in a helpdesk or desktop support type role
Experience and knowledge in basic hardware and network troubleshooting
Industry Certifications are a plus-CompTIA A+, CompTIA N+, CCNA

Work Environment:
The work environment consists of exposure to physical conditions typical of a normal office environment. The receptionist’s work space is located in a high-traffic area. The noise level is low.
