Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and technically skilled IT Support Specialist to support daily IT operations across the organization. This role works directly under the Systems Administrator and is responsible for providing hands-on end-user support while assisting with the maintenance of systems and infrastructure.
The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling a wide range of technical issues in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical support for end users (hardware, software, and network issues)
- Set up and configure new workstations, laptops, and user accounts
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes
- Support Microsoft 365 environment (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, basic administration tasks)
- Assist with Active Directory tasks (user account management, group membership, permissions)
- Troubleshoot printers, connectivity issues, and shared resources
- Provide remote support for off-site users
- Maintain IT inventory and assist with asset tracking
- Escalate complex issues to the Systems Administrator as needed
- Assist with system updates, patching, and basic security tasks
- Document common issues and resolutions
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field and/or equivalent work experience
- 1–3 years of experience in IT support or help desk roles
- Basic working knowledge of:
- Microsoft 365 / Office 365
- Windows 10/11 environments
- Active Directory
- Networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPN)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with remote support tools
- Familiarity with endpoint security software
- Exposure to virtualization or remote desktop environments
