We are currently looking for an IT System Administrator to work Monday - Friday at our Branch located at 2605 Washington Blvd. Ogden, UT.
The Systems Administrator is responsible for the daily administration, maintenance, and support of the organization’s on-premises infrastructure. This role ensures the stability, security, and performance of Microsoft Windows Server, Linux, and virtualized environments. The Systems Administrator manages servers, storage, virtualization, backups, and user-facing services, and works closely with the Technology Officer to support enterprise systems and projects.

Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience supporting IT infrastructure in a Windows/Linux environment.
Certifications (Preferred or Required):
- Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Administrator preferred.
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP) preferred.
- CompTIA Security+, Network+, or equivalent is advantageous.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
- Experience administering Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Hands-on experience with VMware or Nutanix virtualization platforms.
- Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server administration.
- Knowledge of enterprise storage, backup technologies, and disaster recovery practices.
- Basic understanding of networking technologies (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, routing).
- Scripting/automation skills (PowerShell, Bash) desirable.
Soft Skills:
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and respond to incidents in a timely manner.
- Clear communication skills for working with end users, peers, and management.
- Attention to detail with a security-first and compliance-focused mindset.

Regular Duties and Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain Windows Server and Linux systems.
- Manage user accounts, security groups, and policies within Active Directory.
- Configure and maintain DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Support VMware or Nutanix virtualization platforms, including provisioning and monitoring virtual machines.
- Assist in managing Microsoft SQL Server environments.
- Perform regular system backups, test recovery procedures, and support disaster recovery initiatives.
- Monitor system performance and security logs, addressing incidents and vulnerabilities.
- Work with networking staff to ensure connectivity and secure system access.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Participate in infrastructure projects, upgrades, and patch management cycles.
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for escalated help desk issues.
- Collaborate with senior IT staff on security, compliance, and business continuity initiatives.
