We are seeking a highly skilled IT Systems Engineer to join our AANA team. In this role, you'll take the lead in designing, delivering, documenting, and supporting our vital infrastructure across Compute, Storage, Virtualization, and Applications. The ideal candidate is a proactive, resourceful problem-solver with a deep knowledge of technology and a growth mindset. - Installation, configuration, and maintenance of VMware vSphere & VDI Environment and other Hypervisors
- Configuration of VMware Distributed Resource Scheduling, High Availability, and Fault Tolerance
- Installation, configuration, and maintenance of VMware ESXi hosts and App-V
- vCenter Server upgrade, management, and updates
- ESXi Hypervisor management, updates, and upgrades
- VM deployment and support as needed
- VMS support and patching
- Maintenance and upgrades of hardware and network monitoring software
- Support and maintenance of Internal systems, COTS applications, databases, virtual environments, multifactor authentication, log analytics, and storage arrays
- Installation, configuration, and maintenance of virtualization networks
- Develop and maintain O&S Standard Operating Procedures for VMware vSphere Environment and other VM Hypervisor environments
- Support maintaining server hardening guidelines and ensuring compliance with security policies and procedures
- Evaluate hardware and software, including peripheral, output, and related equipment
- Develop and implement testing strategies and document results
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant hardware and software applications as assigned
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Networking, or related area of study or 10+ years of relevant experience in Servers/Systems administration and management
- Master Core Technologies: Proven expertise in Virtualization (VMware, HyperV), Windows Servers, and Storage, while expertly managing system administration tasks like patching, software deployments, and Group Policy.
- Automate and Innovate: Use scripting tools like PowerShell or Ansible to automate common tasks and drive innovation by applying emerging technologies to solve complex problems.
- Document and Standardize: Design, document, and standardize processes and procedures, ensuring smooth transitions of work to operational teams.
- Communicate and Collaborate: Clearly communicate complex technical information to non-technical audiences and build strong, influential relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Manage Projects with Business Acumen: Deliver work according to project management principles and provide financial impact analysis for technical solutions.
- Monitor and Troubleshoot: Utilize and configure standard monitoring tools to ensure system health and identify opportunities for self-healing automation.
- Embrace Cloud and Security: Stay current with emerging cloud technologies, analyze their business use, and evaluate all solutions against current and future security requirements.
