Duties and Responsibilities:
The Information Technology Technician will demonstrate his/her ability to interact professionally and positively with staff and students in an educational environment.
Primary duties include:
- Supporting desktop computers, laptops, printers, Chromebooks, and other educational technology devices
- Deploy and maintain computers, Chromebooks, interactive whiteboards, printers and other educational technology hardware
- Address staff requests for technical assistance in a timely and professional manner
- Train school site staff on a variety of software applications and hardware operations
- Assist users via remote connection for the purpose of troubleshooting and/or resolving workstation issues
- Troubleshooting, repair and support educational audio-visual hardware such as interactive whiteboards boards, projectors, speakers and document cameras
- Document and track requests through online ticketing system
- All other duties as assigned by the Director of Technology
Preferred Technical Qualifications
- Proficient knowledge of Windows 11
- Working knowledge of macOS, iOS, and iPadOS
- Knowledge of basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, routing)
- Proven knowledge of troubleshooting processes

- Excellent people skills and good communication
- Ability to research software and hardware related issues to resolution
- Ability to work with all levels of staff
- Must be a user-friendly team player with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and initiative
- Must adapt easily to work assignments, additional priorities, and new procedures
- Ability to handle multiple assignments; prioritize and identify needs and solve problems independently
- Ability to move technology equipment (up to 50lbs.)
- Ability to remain current with both professional skill-set and district technology policies
General Qualifications:
- At least 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred
- Associate’s Degree or vocational certificate in an information technology related field, or equivalent industry certifications preferred but not required.
- CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent desirable
- Citizenship, residency or work VISA in United States required
