IT Technician
Local contract – permanent position (CDI) – 48 hours/week
Position to be filled on 14/12/2025
Main duties
The IT technician is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning, maintenance and development of the school’s IT systems and equipment.
As part of this role, he/she supports all teams (teaching, administrative and management) in the use of digital tools and contributes to the quality of the service provided to students and their families.
In this context, the IT technician is mainly involved in the following activities.
1. As part of his/her duties:
· Provide first level IT support to users (teachers, administrative staff, student services, management, etc.).
· Install, configure and update workstations (desktop computers, laptops, tablets) as well as peripherals (printers, video projectors, scanners, audio/video equipment).
· Contribute to the management, monitoring and security of the network (cabling, Wi-Fi, routers, firewalls, internet access).
· Knowledge of operating systems (e.g. Windows, Linux) and databases (e.g. SQL Server, Oracle)
· Understanding of networking concepts and protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
· Manage user accounts (creation, modification, deletion) and access rights to the various services and applications.
· Ensure the deployment, updating and maintenance of the software used by the school (operating systems, office suites, educational software, business applications, antivirus, etc.).
· Diagnose and resolve hardware and software malfunctions reported by users.
· Update and monitor the inventory of the IT fleet (equipment, licences, warranties).
· Assist teaching and learning process with IT solutions.
· Provide recommendations to improve the organization’s IT systems.
· Troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware problems related to the application.
· Perform routine maintenance and upgrades to the application.
· Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential issues or improvements.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
· Understanding of Apple Devices and MDM solution.
2. Additional duties
· Prepare and set up the IT equipment required for exams, assessments and educational events (IT rooms, video projection, sound system).
· Contribute to the commissioning of new equipment and digital projects (specialised rooms, new tools or platforms).
· Propose technical improvements to optimise the reliability, security and performance of the network and IT systems.
· Draft and update procedures and practical guides for users (user guides, best practices, security instructions).
· Act as a point of contact with external service providers (equipment suppliers, software publishers, technical support) for incident follow-up and contract monitoring.
· Take part in training or supporting staff in the use of digital tools (introductory sessions, individual assistance).
· Ensure compliance with IT security rules (passwords, use of resources, confidentiality of data).
Skills – “know-how”:
· Diagnose a hardware or software fault and propose an appropriate solution.
· Install, configure and maintain workstations and peripheral equipment.
· Manage and monitor an IT fleet (inventory, warranties, renewals).
· Implement data backup and restoration procedures.
· Organise and prioritise support requests according to their urgency and impact.
· Work in collaboration with several stakeholders (management, teachers, administration, service providers).

3. Qualifications
· 2+ years of experience in technical support or a related field
· A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, information systems, computer engineering, or similar.
