JOB SUMMARY
Music Road Resort is seeking a reliable, skilled Information Technology & Audio Visual Technician to proactively manage our technology infrastructure by maintaining our software, hardware, and network. This role supports daily technology needs and delivers a smooth audio-visual experience for events.
The IT/AV Support Technician is responsible for ensuring optimal system performance, implementing security protocols, and providing support to staff.
The IT/AV Support Technician requires clear communication. and the ability to manages multiple priorities. This candidate must take ownership of their work and be committed to delivering high-level customer service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Point of contact for IT & AV needs, delivering responsive, professional, and user-friendly assistance.

Communicate technical information clearly in an approachable way, ensuring understanding and confidence in solutions.

Provide consistent follow-up on issues and keep users informed of progress, confirming resolution satisfaction.

Build strong working relationships, anticipating and meeting the needs of staff and guests.

Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, peripherals, and software in alignment with company standards.
- Troubleshoot issues with hardware, software, and network, providing on-site and remote support.

Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues to minimize downtime.
- Support and maintain LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi networks to ensure reliable and secure connectivity.
- Maintain user accounts, access controls, and data backup processes in accordance with security policies.
- Track and manage IT & AV inventory, including hardware, software licenses, and warranties.

Work with external vendors to troubleshoot and resolve equipment or system issues.
- Coordinate necessary repairs, upgrades, and installations.

Set up and dismantle AV equipment including microphones, speakers, projectors, and video conferencing systems.
- Provide real-time technical support during meetings and events, quickly resolving issues to calmly ensure a seamless experience.

Coordinate with event organizers to understand requirements and deliver high-quality production support.

Manage and support virtual meeting platforms.

Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor or General Manager.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- 2–4 years of experience in IT support, system administration, AV support, or a related role.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently with effective prioritization.
- Proficiency with Windows/Mac OS, networking protocols (TCP/IP), and server administration.
- Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and provide excellent customer service.
