• Maintenance and Repair: Fitters perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot malfunctions, and repair broken equipment.
• Welding: They use welding equipment to fuse and repair structural components.
• Tool Usage: Fitters utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment like shears, saws, and cutting torches.
• Inspection: They inspect fabricated components to ensure accuracy, defect-free construction, and correct sizing.
• Safety Compliance: Fitters adhere to health and safety regulations and procedures.
• Collaboration: They may collaborate with other team members to complete projects.
