Overview
Central Intermediate Unit 10 is seeking qualified candidates for an Itinerant Mathematics Teacher (Grades 7–12) position. This position follows a 185-day work calendar and provides instructional support to students across programs within the IU service region. This role offers an exciting opportunity to inspire and support learners by delivering engaging, comprehensive mathematics instruction tailored to diverse classroom environments.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality mathematics instruction across multiple grade levels, focusing on subjects such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, discrete math, and differential equations.
- Develop and implement innovative lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and incorporate current learning technologies.
- Provide personalized tutoring and academic advising to support students’ understanding of complex mathematical concepts.
- Collaborate with school staff, special education teams, and parents to create tailored instructional strategies that address diverse learning needs.
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to instructional design, research methodologies, and educational best practices in mathematics education.
Qualifications:
- Valid Pennsylvania certification in Mathematics 7–12 required
- Strong instructional and collaboration skills
- Ability to support diverse learners in multiple educational settings
- Willingness to travel between assigned locations
