Responsibilities:
Our newest opportunity is for a talented ITS Advisor, seconded to our client from government sector in Doha, Qatar.

We envisage success in this role to include;
  • Providing strategic ITS and organisational advice to the Head of Section and our client's management, supporting Qatar’s position as a leader in RMC operations and coordinating with key national and international stakeholders
  • Identifying and analysing global ITS technologies and operational best practices, assessing their relevance and applicability within Qatar
  • Preparing, updating, and tracking the ROMD ITS Strategy in alignment with Qatar National Vision and Ashghal strategies
  • Supporting the transition to performance-based framework contracts, guiding focus areas and establishing tools to monitor asset performance and cost efficiency
  • Preparing presentations, briefing notes, and coordinating scanning visits to advise on emerging ITS technologies, operational and procurement models
  • Developing and implementing KPI frameworks, performance reporting, and continuous improvement strategies
  • Contributing to the resolution of technical issues, providing guidance and coaching to team members
  • Supporting programme-level coordination of projects, overseeing daily operations and contract management, and aligning interdependencies across operations, delivery, and maintenance
  • Developing and managing governance processes to enhance availability and reliability of RMC services
  • Reviewing and improving RMC Standard Operating Procedures, supporting coordination for major events and incidents, and conducting post-event analysis
  • Leading planning and operational readiness for major events within the RMC environment
  • Acting as technical authority for RMC systems projects
  • Conducting operational gap analysis and proposing innovative ITS technologies and solutions
  • Leading analysis and solution development for complex ITS engineering challenges
  • Supporting digital transformation initiatives and ITS roadmaps
  • Sharing industry best practices and mentoring junior team members
Qualifications:
To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 25+ years of relevant experience partnered with a Bachelor of Engineering or relevant, from an accredited University or College program.
  • Bringing relevant experience within highways and roads infrastructure.
  • Demonstrating extensive ITS expertise across planning, deployment, procurement, control room operations, systems integration, and optimisation.
  • Possessing strong knowledge of operations & maintenance, design, procurement, and contract management.
  • Holding certifications from North America, Western Europe, or Australia (preferred).
  • Building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships across complex environments.
  • Chartered Membership in Engineering or relevant professional body would be an advantage.
  • Current/valid Qatar Driving License would be an advantage.
