Position Summary

Leadership - This competency encompasses the responsibility of expanding student technician recruitment, participating in student applicant interviews, and assessing and recommending candidates for employment. Coaching and training current team members to enhance their skills in providing customer service and IT support.
Communication - The Student Technician Manager will communicate in a clear and organized manner. This competency covers the strong communication skills required to interact effectively with the Gannon community while providing technical support, following directions and supervising and coaching team members.
Your primary responsibility as ITS Student Technician Manager will be to expand student technician recruitment, coach and train current team members, manage student scheduling, and ensure the quality of customer service and support activity of student technicians.
This position requires you to be available during business hours up to 30 hours per week. Your daily tasks will include:
Participating in student applicant interviews.
Assessing and recommending candidates for employment.
Assisting with Tier 1 and Tier 2 support .
Managing the student technician schedule.
Scheduling and supervising all ITS-related moves relating to ITS equipment including computers and telco transfers.
