ITS Trainee Temporary

Temple University's Computer Business Service Department is searching for an ITS Trainee Temporary!

Hourly Rate: $15.00

Position Summary:
The ITS Trainee position offers a part-time, estimated 10-month, 20-hour-per-week, hands-on training position that will support the Temple University ITS Department in its mission to provide customer-focused technological support, resources, and innovative solutions to students, faculty, staff, alumni, retirees, emeriti, vendors, guests, and community members. Employee will experience and receive training from multiple divisions in the ITS Department, with a primary focus on supporting the Digital Access Center team's mission, with potential opportunities to train with the Computer Recycling Center, and the Technology Support Center. This position is at will and dependent upon continued grant funding. Position requires direct contact with children.

Job Details
  • This position requires the following background checks: criminal history review, child abuse clearance and FBI fingerprinting. Access to confidential or sensitive Personal Identifiable Information (PII) Background Check.
  • Offer of employment is conditional upon the successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening.
  • This position is 100% On-Site.
Required Education and Experience
  • Some related technical experience and/or IT certificate.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Required Skills and Abilities
  • Documented strengths in written, oral, and interpersonal communication.
  • Documented strengths in customer service, in-person and telephone skills, along with the ability to interact with a diverse group of students, faculty, staff, guest and community members
  • Solid working knowledge of PC and Mac system configuration, troubleshooting, and hardware and software installation
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
  • Ability to work weekends, if necessary.
