Job Description

• PURPOSE OF JOB :
  
  

Provides direct patient care and performs selected therapeutic interventions and diagnostic procedures under the direction of the Registered Nurse and LPN.

• ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Provides safe and efficient direct patient care with consideration for age-specific accommodations.
• Collaborates with patients, families, and health care team members in order to achieve excellence in patient care.
• Promotes patient safety through adherence to protocols, policies, procedures, evidence-based guidelines and Joint Commission National Patient Safety Goals.
• Actively participates in and supports departmental and organizational quality initiatives and goals.
• Maintains clinical competency according to unit-specific standards.
  
  

Job Qualifications

• Education:

• High school or GED completion

• Certified Nursing Assistant documentation for certified PCT position. Must maintain current Pennsylvania license.
  
  

B. Experience: Varies based on department and position.

C. Other Skills

• Certified in B.L.S. for health care providers
• Excellent interpersonal and team building skills
• Knowledge of medical terminology helpful
• Knowledge of computer functionality
