Janitor

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00

Duties & Responsibilities

• Sweeps and mops floors in rooms and halls
• Dust and/or polish furniture, blinds, and equipment
• Cleans restrooms and fills dispensers
• Vacuums, spot cleans, and/or shampoos rugs, carpets, and furniture using commercial-type vacuum cleaners and shampooing equipment
• Reports malfunction of bathroom fixtures, light fixtures, and/or damages to room and hall furnishings to superior
• Stocks area with appropriate supplies
• Initiates work orders for repair/maintenance
• Moves furniture, equipment, or fixtures as required
• Washes dishes or utensils as required
• Helps production prepare and package client products as required
• Performs other duties as assigned

• At least 1 year Janitorial/Custodial experience; OR any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.
• Knowledge of cleaning equipment, products, techniques, and standards.
• Skill in safely using cleaning products and equipment.
• Skill in following verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management and other employees.
• Ability to communicate in English.
